Obituary for Andrea Piedad Anglo
Andrea “Nana” Anglo (Piedad) died peacefully in her sleep on October 4, 2016. She was 98.
Mrs. Anglo was born on November 30, 1918 in Maragondon, Cavite, Philippines to her parents Pedro and Genoveva Piedad. She married Lino Anglo of Maragondon in 1941. While in the Philippines, Andrea operated a small café and Lino worked as an airplane mechanic for Philippine Airlines. They immigrated to the United States after which Lino worked for District 50 Schools in Westminster, Colorado. She spent her time cooking for her family and friends and caring for several of her grandchildren.
Mrs. Anglo was survived by 11 of her children: Her son, Rogelio Anglo (Salvacion); her daughter, Adelaida Castro (Jose); her son, Leopoldo Anglo; her son, Lino Anglo Jr. (Margaret); her son, Emilito Anglo; her son, Tagumpay Anglo (Luciana); her daughter, Ligaya Anglo (Leroy); her son, Lualhati Anglo (Stephanie); her daughter, Cristina Christian (Mark); her son, Dominador; and her daughter, Chona Miller (Eric). She is also survived by her sister, Maura Salvador, of Maragondon, Cavite, Philippines and 18 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her children, Chinang Anglo, Carmelito Anglo, and Solita Anglo, and her remaining brothers and sisters.
A memorial will be held for Mrs. Anglo at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Parish at 11 AM on October 11, 2016 (11385 Grant Drive, Northglenn, Colorado 80233). She will be buried at Olinger Highland Cemetery following the funeral mass. A viewing is to be held October 10, 2016 from 4-8 PM at DeWitt and Tabler, 12114 Grant Circle, Thornton, Colorado 80241 with a prayer of the Rosary at 5 PM. All are welcome to attend and celebrate her life.
