Obituary for Annette Charlotte Tufano
Annette passed away March 13th 2016 in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her family. She was born in Waynesville, Missouri on Ft. Leonard Wood Army Base on January 15, 1943.
She was preceded in death by her parents Walt O. Busley and Zora Hake, her brother Daniel Busley and her infant daughter Angela.
Annette is survived by her daughter Teena Taylor (Jim) from Longmont and her son Bradley Good from Thornton, her grandchildren Travis Bellet (Amber) from Denver and Tara Brice (Craig) from Thornton, her sisters Carolyn Sailor from Haslett, MI and Collette Lott from Yorba Linda, CA, and her nieces and nephews, Scott Fletcher(Judy), Kelli Cicinelli (Joe), Ronda Gaedert (Scott), Roxanne Maciel (Juan),Jessica Morgan, James Lott, Sundi McIntire (James) and many grand-nieces and nephews.
Annette was known for her beauty and scatter-brained sense of humor. Her dimpled smile was so infectious. Her theme song was “It’s my Life” from Bon Jovi and that’s exactly the way she lived her life. It was now or never to her. She had an amazing ability to make friends wherever she went. And when she became your friend it was forever.
She was a very dedicated mother and grandmother. She would dive in and help with any project or event her kids and grandkids were involved in whether it was typing data, painting or creating bouquets for a wedding. She loved helping in any way she could.
Annette and her son Brad were proud to be an “Up with People” host family which allowed them to develop long lasting friendships with people from all over the world. They were able to travel to Europe where Italy (especially Venice) became one of her favorite places in the world.
Annette was the biggest Bronco’s fan decorating her home with everything Bronco during the season. Even though she wasn’t feeling well, she stayed up to watch her favorite team win the Super bowl which made her so happy. She loved playing games like Pictionary, Scrabble and Sudoku, and watching Survivor and The Voice. She loved sipping a good scotch and eating any kind of seafood. Sitting on a beach chair with her toes in the soft Florida sand, soaking up sunshine was one of her most favorite things to do.
Annette had a passion for Florida and she lived there for many years on several different time periods in her life. She also lived in Michigan, California and Colorado. But she continued to yearn to go back to the beach. She even decorated her home as if she were living right on the beach and had aspirations to move back to Florida. Perhaps she’s enjoying that dream right now.
She will be so greatly missed by all the people whose lives she touched.
Please join us for a Memorial Celebration from 6pm to 8pm on Monday April 4, 2016 at Brad’s apartment – 1882 E. 104th Unit 1637 Thornton, CO.
