Barbara had a challenging, beautiful and glorious life…

Born in a German village in Ernestinovo, Yugoslavia, on August 29, 1931, she later married Franz Sternath on December 10th, 1949, and immigrated to the United States through Ellis Island in 1952.
Her challenging life journey continued with the immigration to the United States from Austria with her husband, baby, one suite case and $5.00 in their pockets. She faithfully dedicated herself to building a beautiful life surrounded by her family and friends. In addition to being a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, her passion for knitting, sewing and gardening blessed many lives. Her loyal and strong work ethic was revealed after 40 years as a Keebler “Elf” baking and packing crackers and cookies for all to enjoy. She gloriously embraced life and family with her whole heart and now rests with our glorious, heavenly Father.
Private services will be held with family in the coming month. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital. The family wishes to extend their sincere and heartfelt thanks for being a part of Barbara’s life and all of the extended loving wishes and condolences.
