Obituary for Burt Henry Thomas
Burt Henry Thomas, peacefully passed way on May 19, 2016 at the Denver Hospice after a short illness. Mr. Thomas, a resident of Aurora, Colorado for the past 13 years. Born May 15, 1936 in Cairo, Illinois to Salista and Nancy Thomas, Mr. Thomas has lived in Chicago and Cleveland, Ohio. He entered the Army and served his county as a paratrooper. Mr. Thomas was classically trained pianist and worked as a concert pianist, playing in venues around the world. Mr. Thomas was was a known as a giving and caring man to his friends and neighbors, helping them in their times of need, caring for children families and regularly cooking for those he knew. He was an avid walker and enjoyed studying and sharing his faith.
Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother John Thomas.
Services will be held on Tuesday May 31, 2016 at the Dewitt and Tabler Chapel located at 12114 Grant Circle, Thornton, Colorado.
Internment will be at the Fort Logan National Cemetary following the service.
