Obituary for Carolyn Sue Reed
Carolyn Sue “Lou” Reed, 59 years of age, lost her battle with cancer on January 31st, 2017 at Vibra Care Center, surrounded and comforted by her loved ones.
Carolyn is survived by her Loving Partner, Diana Sibayan; her Mother, Suzanne Reed; her 5 Brothers, Mick (Stephanie) Reed, Bob (Kym) Reed, Joe Reed, Lenny Reed, Danny (Tammy) Reed; Uncle, Charlie Schott; multiple Cousins, in-laws, nieces and nephews, both Reed and Sibayan. Carolyn is preceded in death by Father, James Reed; Grandmother, Kate Schott; Uncle, Jim Schott; Aunt, Jane Ivy; Cousins, Lori Lynn and Jim Dee.
Carolyn was born on April 19, 1957 in Marietta Ohio to the late James N. Reed and Suzanne C. Reed. She is the oldest of 6 children. She attended Assumption Catholic School for 8 years, Match Buff High School for 2 years and was the first graduating class of Thornton High School in 1975. She also attended Pima Medical Institute where she received her Certified Nursing Assistant Certification and went on to a very rewarding career where she dedicated her days to care for those in need. She had compassion, a gentle touch and a very tender heart.
As a child she was in co-ed scouting, and very active with the Church, School and Scouts. She loved to watch her brothers play football. In High School she played basketball, was involved in Drama, worked at Shakey’s Pizza and helped to raise her 5 brothers. As she moved on into her early adult years she enjoyed camping, fishing, spending time with friends, hanging out at the The Three Sisters, fixing things around the house, yard work, watching and attending Bronco Games, church bazaars and parties… which included Bud Light and lots of loved ones and friends. She recently took an interest in country music, Facebook and cooking. She continued to enjoy watching the Broncos, taking care of her pets, having friends and family visit… and of course drinking Bud Light. She was always satisfied with just being home with her best friend and Li’l Li… her little piece of heaven.

Taken from something that was written by Diana almost 10 years ago…..
Carolyn, known by many other names; Lou, Sis, Aunt Sis, Sissy-Sue, Care-Bear, Boo, Cinderelly…likes to hike, bike, jog and swim. Her favorite activities are to exercise….. NOT!! Its having friends and family visiting her, watching the Broncos play football, walking the furry babies, piddling in the yard, sleeping in…. and oh ya, drinking Bud Light.

Carolyn had a beautiful soul, a gentle hand, a tender but strong heart, an amazing personality and an infectious laugh. We are all blessed and thankful for the joy and happiness that she brought to each and every one of our lives. We weren’t ready to let her go, we will grieve but we know the tears are for us, you are now free from pain and at peace. You will be dearly missed and never forgotten. God has you in his arms, we have you in our hearts. It is never goodbye, only see you later. See you later my love, my baby girl, my sister, my cousin, my aunt, my friend. Heaven has gained an ANGEL!!

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal, lets hold onto the love, not the loss. Please join us to celebrate Carolyn’s life on February 8th and share your memories.
