Obituary for Chance Bruce Conner
Novelist, journalist, and former Denver Post staff, Chance Bruce Conner, of Denver, Colorado passed away on October 8, 2010. He was 58 years old. He was born on June 6, 1952, in Washington, DC to Arthur and Lois Conner. He was a film, hiking, cooking, and sports buff, as friends and collegues describe. His career as a reporter and editor spanned more than 30 years. In addition to writing for the Post for 6 years his career included work at the Colorado Daily, Boulder Daily Camera, Rocky Mountain News, USA Today, Centre Daily Times and Winter Park Manifest. In 2009, Chance's first novel was published, "Career Killer- A journalist's Wild Ride with Scotch, Sex & the Sundance Kid." At the time of his death, Chance was editing his second novel, "Career Inferno." A Celebration of Life is to be held at the Washington Park Chapel, Saturday November 20, 2010, 11:00am.
