Obituary for Claudio Arturo Nightengale
Claudio A. Nightengale, of Denver, Colorado died August 14, 2013 in Berkley Manor Care Center after a long battle with prostate cancer. Born in Panama City, Panama, March 9, 1959 to Cyril and Clarice Nightengale, Claudio and his family lived in Panama until he was three years of age, and then the family, which included brothers Conrad and Gregorio, moved to the United States. Claudio attended high school at South High graduating in 1977 and later graduated from Northruck University with plans to begin a career in aviation. He married Kathy Nightengale on January 21, 1984 and they went on to enjoy 29 years of marriage together. He took a position with Combs Gates where he worked as an airplane engine technician for 20 years and later worked as a financial needs specialist with Primerica for 10 years. Claudio was an avid sports enthusiast. He loved participating in various sports such as golf, jogging, basketball and tennis, and thoroughly enjoyed supporting local teams, but dedicated the largest portion of his loyalty to the Denver Broncos. He was a man of great faith and took great pride in his position as a deacon at Park Hill Presbyterian Church, the church he had grown up in and attended all of his life. Claudio is survived by his wife Kathy, his three daughters, Celina, Alexis and Carmen; his father Cyril; his father-in-law LeRoy, mother-in-law Irene; his brother Gregorio and his wife Rayleen and their children Devin and Brittany. Visitation will be Friday, August 23rd, from 6PM to 8PM at the DeWitt and Tabler Funeral Home, 12114 Grant Circle, Thornton, CO, 80241. Memorial Services will be 3PM Saturday, August 24th, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 700 South Franklin Street, Denver, CO, 80209. There will be a reception at the Park Hill Golf Course, 4141 E. 35th Ave, Denver, CO, 80207 from 5-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Deacon Fund at Park Hill Presbyterian Church.
