Obituary for Donna Helene Lawson
Donna Helene Lawson, age 61, of Thornton Colorado left this world and stormed Heavens Gates January 11, 2015 while hospitalized at St. Antony North Hospital in Westminster Colorado. Donna was the first-born daughter of the late Frank and Lillian Pellegrino. She was born June 8, 1953 in Queens New York. Donna is survived by her husband, Jeffery Baird Lawson, her niece; Anastasia Danielle 16 and her nephew Dylon-Lee Eugene 14 who have resided with them for the last 11 years. Donna’s brother, Frank Pellegrino Jr. and wife Sharon, their son Michael and daughter Arely. Donna’s beloved sister and friend, Laura Jean Pellegrino. Donna Helene graduated From Bridgewater Raritan West High School in 1971 and later went on to receive a degree in nursing at Lehigh Carbon Community College, Schnecksville, Pennsylvania in 1992. Donna and Jeff enjoyed a unique and romantic courtship and were married September 17, 1994 in Vero Beach Florida. It can be said of Donna that she was a genuinely loving person to all. Her love for God was shown in her giving spirit to everyone she met. As a nurse Donna cared for those who could not care for themselves with great tenderness and compassion. As a friend, Donna always had an ear to listen, a heart that cared and a prayer of encouragement. Donna dearly loved children, as much as they loved her. Music was a part of her life and she sang and played her favorite hymns on her piano. Donna enjoyed going to Baseball games and was a Bronco’s fanatic, but Nascar was her favorite. Donna had a Twinkle in her eye and great sense of humor; she was witty and quick with a comeback. If you could say she had a hobby it was taking care of her family and friends. When you needed to know some ones birthday, just ask Donna, a phone number, just ask Donna! Donna loved her pets as a young girl and thru out her life. Donna was loved as much as she loved others. She touched more lives than we will ever really know.
