Obituary for Edwin George Nazarenus Jr.

Edwin George Nazarenus Jr., age 79 died peacefully surrounded by his family on January 19, 2016. Ed was born to Edwin and Anna Glendora (Roach) Nazarenus on April 21, 1936 in Littleton, Colorado. Ed and his two sisters Kathryn and Diane (Diane proceeds him in death as well as his parents) grew up in Littleton as well as GlobeVille, Colorado. He graduated from North High School in 1954. Ed married Shirley Dutton in 1960. They had 3 sons John, Edwin, and Richard. Ed served his country in the US Army from 1961 until 1965. After being honorably discharged he worked as an engineer until he retired.

Ed loved the outdoors he spent much of his free time with his family camping, hunting, and fishing.

Ed is survived by his sister Kathryn Zangari as well as his 3 sons, 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services were held on January 23, 2016 at noon at the Eagles Lodge located at 88th and Federal in Federal Heights, Colorado. Services included a military salute by VFW Veterans.
A Celebration of Life followed also at the Eagles Lodge.

Ed's ashes are interned at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.


A Memorial service will be held at Ft. Logan National Cemetery on March 12, 2016 at 11:00am at Committal Shelter "A" of the cemetery. This service is being held in memory of the Veterans who did not receive military honors at the time of interment. All family & friends are invited to attend the service.
