Obituary for Elizabeth Ann Duran
Elizabeth “Liz” Ann Duran was passed away on May 20, 2019 at the Collier Lutheran Hospice in Wheat Ridge. She was 73 years old.
Liz was born on November 14, 1945 in Wichita, KS, to Goldie and George Suggs. She and her sister Sue were raised in Golden, CO. Liz graduated from Golden High School, then attended the Wheat Ridge Beauty School. She worked as a beautician for 12 years. Liz then worked as a secretary at Experian for 19 years.
On October 14, 1967, Liz married the love of her life, Victor Duran. They were blessed with three children and 51 years of marriage. Liz’s family was always first for her. She was a loving, good-hearted woman who welcomed everyone into her life. Her sense of humor never wavered. Liz loved to sing. She enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and camping. Liz also loved going on trips to casinos, and driving fast cars.
Liz is survived by her husband Vic Duran; children: Rick (Cathy) Duran, Vic (Mandy) Duran, and Jennifer (Jimmy Ortiz) Duran; sister Sue Holifield; grandchildren: Alyssa, Alex, Taeler, Destiny, Kaden, Axton, Tristan, Draiten; and great-grandson Zayden. She will be loved and missed by all.
Services will be held Friday, May 31, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at DeWitt & Tabler Funeral Home in Thornton. Liz will be laid to rest in the Elmwood Cemetery in Brighton.
