Obituary for Erick Dumas Slade
Erick Dumas Slade, 57 of Parker, CO passed away Friday February 1, 2017 at his home.
Erick was born in Santa Barbara, California, on July 8th, 1959 to Alice Joy and Dumas Winston Slade. He grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and graduated from Santa Fe High School. He attended the University of New Mexico, in Albuquerque, where he met his wife Jackie. They were married and moved to Colorado in 1984.
Erick spent most of his life in the real estate field, mostly in research. The last 15 years as a research director for a company that he loved, working with people he respected and admired. Everything outside of work revolved around his wife and two boys. He enjoyed nothing more than relaxing in the yard, watching the cats play, and drinking coffee on sunny weekend mornings. He loved living in Colorado and driving in the mountains to his favorite places, Estes Park, Breckenridge, and Glenwood Springs.
Erick is survived by his wife Jackie and his two sons, Tom and Jeff. He is also survived by his father Dumas Winston, His tow brothers, Dean and Dirk and a sister Desira. He was proceeded in death by his mother Alice Joy Amiday.
