Obituary for Evelyn Crowell Yurk
Evelyn Crowell Yurk, age 80, of Thornton, passed away August 14, 2018.
She was born June 9, 1938, in Oklahoma, to Elmer and Dora Mallerd Crowell. She was lovingly raised by her sister, Jewel Austin.
She married Norman Yurk; they later divorced. They had two sons, Christian Glen and Norman Wayne.
She attended business college and then enjoyed 40 years as a flight training director with United Airlines.
She enjoyed attending Northglenn Christian Church; service opportunities; Bible study groups; and most of all, spending time with her sons.
She will be dearly missed by her family and friends, especially Camille Butler, friend of 60 years.
She is survived by her sons, Christian (Josie) Yurk of Thornton, and Norman of Greeley; brothers, Paul (Mary) Hall of Alabama, Richard (Carolyn) Yurk of Alabama, and Chris (Paula) Yurk of Loveland; and sisters, Lorraine of Texas, and Sylvia Yurk of Loveland; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Roy and Jack; and sisters, Judy Austin, and Pearl Crowell.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Northglenn Christian Church, 1800 East 105th Place, in Northglenn. Inurnment – Berthoud City Cemetery.
