Obituary for Evelyn Grace Deverell
It is with deep regrets that we announce the loss of our beloved Mom, Mother-in-law, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and dearest friend. Evelyn Grace (O’Connor) Deverell, age 94, residing in Westminster, Colorado, passed in her sleep on May 20, 2013, while in the care of Saint Anthony Hospital North, Evelyn lived a long, full life and the time came for her to leave us. Evelyn was born in Edmond, Oklahoma on February 10, 1919, the 3rd child to parents Michael John O’Connor and Grace Smith O’Connor. She was the last surviving of all her siblings; Lathea Mae (Mae), Patricia, Catherine (Katie), Wilma Jean (Jeannie) and John (Bud) O’Connor. She married Drake A. Deverell, January 14, 1941 and they raised 5 children. Evelyn and Drake celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary just prior to Drake entering into rest on August 05, 1991. She is survived by Drake Jr. (Dan) & Marilyn Deverell - Jackson, Michigan, Kathleen LeSage - Kansas City, Missouri, Christopher & Janice Deverell - Parker Colorado, and Sherry & Bill Scebbi - Broomfield, Colorado. Evelyn was preceded in death by her son Gary Deverell – Las Vegas, NV. Evelyn is also survived by her grandchildren Michael and Wendy Deverell (WA), Joe and Karen Deverell (ID) Tim and Kem Deverell (OH), Thomas Deverell (MI),David and Kacey Deverell (IN), Christy Ann Deverell (CO), Alyse and Josh Fieldgrove (CO), Danielle and Jeff Malott (CO), Brian LeSage (MO), Ryan Scebbi (CO) and Patrick LeSage (MO) and 12 great grandchildren. Evelyn was preceded in death by her granddaughter Theresa Deverell. Evelyn deeply loved her kids. She also loved her Colorado sports teams, playing cards, enjoying the mountains, her glass of wine and gambling! We will always remember the good times we had enjoying these times with her. Our family welcomes you to attend, if you are able, to help us say our “good-bye” to her and wish her peace and happiness as she continues her new journey in heaven.
