George Leigh Pierce, 78, of Denver died 8 Jan 2013 in Greeley, Colorado after a long illness. Adored father of three: Debra (Michael) Cohig of Denver, Lory (Randy) Merriman of Greeley and the late Kathy Pierce of Denver. He is also survived by beloved sister Gerry (Dick) Eisbach of Byron MN; six grandchildren: Steven (Sarah) Merriman, Greeley; Jennifer (Steven) Goetz , Denver; Daniel Merrriman, Greeley; Natalie Ward Cyphers, Pottstown PA; Barbara (Ken) Brooks, Greeley, and Christopher Merriman, Greeley; nephew Karl (Jan) Eisbach, Lincoln NE; granddaughter Aubrey McDonald, Greeley, and ten greatgrandchildren. Mr Pierce was a fourth generation Denverite and a Freemason for fifty-seven years. He attended East High School, Denver, and the University of Colorado, Boulder. Retired from Denver Public Schools in 1991, he has spent the past five years at Kenton Manor in Greeley. Private services.
