Obituary for Glendon "Glen" Arthur Snow
Glendon Arthur Snow, age 86 died of congestive heart failure on September 3rd 2017 in Boulder, Colorado, a place that he grew to love dearly. Glen is survived by his brother Lois Snow and his six children, Cindy Snow, Michael Snow, Barry Snow, Kelly Snow, Tammy Snow and Laurie Snow as well as 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Glen was born on November 10th, 1931 in Weleetka, Oklahoma to his parents Arthur and Dorothy Snow. He was preceded in death by his son Paul, his brothers George, Mack and Pete as well as his sisters Frankie, Vera, Alice and Ester Snow.
After serving in the U. S. Navy for four years, he went into an apprenticeship program utilizing the G.I. Bill in a cabinet shop. After completing his training, he embarked on a life-long journey of countertop fabrications and installations and became one of the finest countertop installers in the southern tier of New York State.
Glen was a family man and raised seven children with his wife Ann. He enjoyed outdoor activities including fishing, gardening, playing horseshoes, hiking, and playing golf.
In his final days, he resided at Highland Trails and was well liked by everyone for his great sense of humor and easy-going nature. He enjoyed playing cards with his friends and neighbors. He will be missed by all of his family and his many friends.
Funeral Services will be 11 AM Thursday September 7, 2017 at DeWitt and Tabler Funeral Home Chapel, 12114 Grant Circle, Thornton, Colorado 80241. Interment will be 1:30 PM Thursday at Fort Logan National Cemetery Staging Area B, Denver, Colorado. Military Honors will be provided by the US Navy and Colorado All Veterans Honor Guard.
