Obituary for Harriet Ellen Earley
Harriet Ellen Earley, age 85 of Adams County, Colorado passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Sunny Acres Memory Care Unit in Northglenn, Colorado. Harriet was born on April 8, 1932, at the Chamberlain House in Trenton, NJ to Clarence and Naomi Hutchings. She loved learning and after graduating High School in Buffalo, NY she attended Grace College & Seminary. It was there where she met her husband Robert (Bob) Earley while she was waiting tables to pay for her education. She later completed her Master’s Degree in Education at the University of Colorado. Harriet was a teacher for over 30 years at school District 12, the majority of her time teaching 4th grade at Thornton Elementary. She was also a member of Alpha Delta Kappa. Harriet was an active member of Crossroads Church in Northglenn and participated in their Friendship Bible Study. 
  
Harriet was a beloved sister, wife, mother, grandma, teacher and friend. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Earley, her daughter Teresa Matthews, her brothers Raymond Hutchings and Edward Hutchings and sister Claire Hutchings. Harriet is survived by her children Stephen Earley, Susan Casillas, and Bobbi Earley (Wayne) Mauldin. She is survived by 10 grandchildren, Cheryl Ann Morrow, Angela Chapman (Dominic) Vigil, Shiloh Earley, Joseph Earley, Michael (Gloria) Casillas, Naomi Casillas (Ryan) Sprague, Robert Earley, Stephen Mauldin (Emily) Robles, Grace Mauldin and Wayne Allen Mauldin. Also survived by 16 Great- grandchildren and 1 Great-great grandchild. She is also survived by brothers Robert (Joyce) Hutchings, Roswell, NM, Art (AnnMarie) Hutchings, Buffalo, NY, sisters-in-law Beth and ErvaLu Hutchings. 

Our family would like to thank her doctors, nurses and care providers at Sunny Acres for the amazing care that they provided her over the last few years. Harriet’s greatest joy in life was to learn and to teach. Her legacy will be touching so many lives through education. 

Memorial Service, Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 1pm at Crossroads Church, 104th and Huron, with reception following. Services conclude at the church with burial later in Cuba, NY.
