Obituary for Hermine C. Sanchez
LOUISVILLE, CO - Hermine Cerveny Sanchez, 83, died on Friday, June 21, 2013, following a long battle with cancer. Hermine was born on Aug. 30, 1929 in Munich, Germany to Georg Cerveny and Hermine Sperrman. Hermine married Jose Sanchez, a Sgt. in the US Air Force, in Germany after World War II, and moved to the United States in 1952. She and Jose raised five children. Hermine was trained in banking in Germany, but after arriving in the United States she worked as a waitress for 30 years, to help support the family. Hermine resided in Aurora, Colorado from 1959 to 2008. After her retirement from Sky Chefs - American Airlines, she was active in the Volunteers of America, delivering Meals on Wheels, and a Knitting Group which supported The Children's Hospital. She always enjoyed helping her friends and neighbors in anyway she could. She was a life long Catholic Christian. She lived independently at Windsor Gardens, Denver, Colorado from 2008 to 2013. Hermine is survived by her son, Howard Sanchez and wife Jan, her daughters Evelyn Barton, Linda Mustian and husband Fr. David Mustian, Angela Young, and Christine Ortiz, nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, parents, and sister, Gertrude Cerveny. Funeral Mass will be 10:00AM Wednesday June 26, at St Pius X Catholic Church, 13670 East 13th Place, Aurora, Colorado. Interment will be 12:15PM, Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area C, Denver, Colorado. The family invites you to join them at a reception following Burial at Windsor Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to St. Jude Hospital or American Cancer Society
