Obituary for Hourn Tho
Hourn Tho, passed away peacefully at age 76 in the comfort of his home in Commerce City, Colorado. He is survived by his loving wife Soy Kim Tho, his four children Soly, Navi, Nary and SumHeng, two son-in-laws Jimmy and Boone, two daughter-in-laws Cathleen and Dalen, 8 grandchildren plus one grandchild to be, Anthony, Johnathan, Cynthia, Christopher, Stefan, Jasmine, LimGoun, and Rodney, and two great-grandchildren Zachariah and Raina. In 1982 Hourn and his family came to the United States to free themselves from the Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia. In America he was a hard working man who did everything he could to support his family, He was a strong and wise man who pass down his culture and beliefs to his children so that it may never be forgotten. He had many great accomplishments, from becoming a Buddhist monk to honor the passing of his mother to becoming the President of the Cambodian Buddhist Temple in Erie, Colorado. Most importantly an amazing father. He LOVED watching WWE every Monday and Friday nights. His favorite reply after someone says thank you would be, “Ah you Swa Come”, which means “your welcome” in his own pronunciation. He would always say it with a giggle. He will always be in our hearts and greatly missed by his family and friends, for he is in a better place with his beloved mother whom he loves and adores. My dearest father, your kindness and compassionate soul will always be with us. Your teachings will never be forgotten, it will live on through us all. Family and friends are encouraged to attend a memorial service to honor and celebrate the life of Hourn Tho on Friday June 5, 2015 at 3 pm with visitation 2 hours prior to the service at DeWitt and Tabler 12114 Grant Circle Thornton, CO 80241
