Obituary for Hugh E. "Bud" McIntosh
Thornton – Hugh E. “Bud” McIntosh, 75, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017 after a battle with multiple myeloma and Alzheimer’s disease. He leaves his wife of 48 years, Paula (Kisicki) McIntosh; his daughter, Courtney Hanson (Thornton); his son, Dan McIntosh (Shelly) of Pueblo; his daughter, Jennifer Garner (Brett) of Thornton; four grandchildren, Caitlyn Garner, Logan Garner, Dylan Hanson; and Kara Bertetto (Pueblo). He is also survived by his sisters, Jean Umberger and Joan Lutz along with numerous nieces and nephews. Bud was pre-deceased by his mother, Rachel Marion (Holtom) McIntosh, and his father, Eugene McIntosh.Bud was born May 17, 1942 and was a lifelong resident of the Denver area.After graduating from South High School, Bud joined the Air Force and spent three years in Germany. After being honorably discharged from the Air Force, Bud began a long career at AT&T, where he retired in 1994.Bud enjoyed doing yard work, woodworking, including building a home for his family, and spending time with his much adored grandchildren. He was always eager to teach his children and grandchildren everything he knew, and about all of his curiosities in the world.
