Obituary for James Harold Brooks
Jim was born in Denver, Colorado to Claude and Alice Brooks on June 21, 1946. Jim grew up and attended school in Brighton, Colorado, where he excelled at sports, leading him to be drafted by the Pittsburg Pirates. Jim started his own family life early, which led him to pursue a 15 year career with the State of Colorado while he also attended college at the University of Colorado-Boulder. Following his time with the State of Colorado as a Systems Analyst, he became a very well respected car salesman with his uncanny ability to relate to customers. Jim was able to sell cars in his beloved hometown of Brighton, Colorado. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Barbara Irsik and brother, Robert Brooks. He is survived by his wife, Susan Brooks; children: Jim, Kristen, Michelle, Shawn, Trent and Justin. Jim has numerous nephews and nieces as well as several grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and his loving dog, Patches. His favorite activities included: golf, fishing, collecting coins and being an avid sports fan.
