Obituary for Joanne Darlene Otten
Joanne D. Otten was born in Denver, Colorado, on October 15, 1935 and passed away peacefully at home in Denver on February 26, 2021. She will forever be remembered for her beautiful smile, caring heart, unconditional love and being so sweet.
Joanne treasured time spent with family, friends, dogs and cats.
Joanne earned her insurance license and was an insurance agent for Farmer's and VanGilder. After she retire, she moved to a farm in Ft. Lupton, Colorado, where she became a "farmer" raising cows and chickens.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Violet and Charlie Watkins; 1st husband (23 years) Jack Davis; husband (33 years), George Otten; sons, Ricky Davis and Mark Davis; sister, Alice Bonefield; granddaughter, Kelly Joanne Davis; great grandson, Avidus Boller.Â
Joanne is survived by her children, Danny Davis; Kathy Smolinski (Jim); Karen Paulson (Russ); Tony Davis (Tammy); daughter-in-law, Diane Davis; grandchildren, Jennifer, Andy, Jannelle, Craig, Austin, Cameron, Brandon, Jake, Danny, Jared, B.J., and Amanda; great grandchildren, Hayden, Jack, J.P., Xander, Madison, Emma Rose, Gunner and Kaelynn.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation in Joanne's name to Bridges Hosptice, 3395 Upham Street, Ste. 100, Wheatridge, CO 80033.
Because Joanne was loved by many who wish to honor her, the family will be holding a service at a later date when more friends and family can join together in recognition of this beautiful lady.
