Obituary for John Bernard Younger
John Bernard Younger was born on October 16th, 1932 in Brighton, Colorado to Elizabeth Emma (Bolig) and Richard John Younger. He passed away peacefully at his home on September 20th, 2020 at the age of 87.
John was one of 10 children and spent his whole life in Colorado and helped his family. He was a Korean War Veteran, serving in the Army. On June 23rd, 1956, John married Betty Norine Brady and together they raised three children, Eldon, Deborah, and Carolyn. He obtained his GED and went on to Diesel Technician School. He worked as a mechanic in the Denver area until retiring. John enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones and friends.
John is preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty; his parents, Richard and Elizabeth; his sisters, Dorothy White and Rosalie Younger; and his brother Delbert J. Younger. John is survived by his children, Eldon John (Sandy) Younger of Indian Hills, CO; Deborah (David) Younger Montoya of Walsenburg, CO; and Carolyn Groff of Davenport, FL; by his brothers, Robert J. Younger, Theadore H. Younger, and James Younger; his sisters, Joann A Dreiling, Arlene M. Paiva, and Delores R. Roth; his seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
