Obituary for Joshua David McClain
Joshua David McClain, 34, of Westminster, CO, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2017 from complications following a workplace accident. He was born September 15, 1982 in Denver, Colorado to Richard McClain and Katie Cullen.
Josh was a natural artist with a passion for music and drawing that was evident at a young age. As a child, he loved reading Where the Wild Thing Are, playing basketball with his siblings and cousins, going camping with his G-pa, and visiting his grandma in Nebraska who made her famous waffles for him and his siblings. Josh loved playing video games, going to the movies, listening to music, watching the Denver Broncos, and going to the racetrack. He was a prankster in his youth and could easily make anyone laugh. Josh was fiercely protective of his family and loved spending time with them especially his niece Laura. He would always give big hugs and tell everyone he loved them before leaving family outings. Josh (Aka JD, Thoosh, Bro Montana, Grill Master) was known for his big heart, his sensational gravy, superb grilling skills, great advice, love of animals, and his smile. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his parents Richard (Stephanie) McClain of Thornton, CO and Katie (Jeremey Ruybal) Cullen of Lakewood, CO; his brother Timothy (Suzanne) McClain of Arvada, CO; his sister Ashley (Shaun) Lebsack of Lakewood, CO; his G-ma Penny McClain of Loveland, CO and grandma Jean Cullen of Omaha, NE; his niece Laura McClain of Arvada, CO; uncles, aunts, and cousins. His G-pa, David McClain of Loveland, CO and grandpa John Cullen of Omaha, NE preceded him in death.
Everyone is welcome to attend services as well as the reception.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Dumb Friends League.
