Obituary for Joyce Miller Kaiser
Joyce Kaiser - January 22, 1930 – December 27, 2014. Joyce was born and raised in south Minneapolis. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BS in English. Joyce loved the west, so after her husband, Richard Kaiser, died in 1960, she moved her family to Phoenix Arizona. Five years later, they moved to Bozeman Montana. She loved Yellowstone Park and spent a lot of time there while living in Montana. In 1976, the family moved to Denver Colorado, where she lived in Cherry Creek Meadows until her death. Joyce was a talented artist and floral designer and worked for Ben Veldkamp of Veldkamp Flowers. Afterwards, she worked for AT&T and eventually transferred to the Advertising Department of US West Dex, where she created and reviewed ads. Joyce had a zest for life that was unparalleled. Her energy and resilience was an inspiration to those who knew her. She loved driving around town in her Mustang Convertible with the top down and the radio blasting, and often her daughters were enjoying the ride with her. She is survived by her daughters Dr. Patricia Kaiser of Denver and Liza Kaiser of Boulder, grandchildren Jessica Ayers of Eagle River, Alaska and Ryan Ayers of Denver, and great-grandaughter Gerilee Ayers (Ryan’s daughter) of Denver. She was loved immensely by her family and friends and will be tremendously missed. A Memorial Service will be held in her memory on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Calvary Chapel in Aurora (18900 E. Hampden Ave., Aurora, Colorado 80013) at 3 p.m.
