Obituary for Kenneth Dean Stabenow
Born on July 12th 1923 to Frank and Jennie in Blue Hill, Nebraska. He was proceeded in death by his parents, two brothers and his wife of 58 years, Betty.
He graduated from Blue Hill High School in 1941 where he lettered in Basketball and Football. He joined the Army Air Corps (now known as the Air Force) after graduation and spent most of his service time overseas during World War ll. He wrote many letters home and to his hometown newspaper detailing the events of the war.
He married Betty Briscoe in 1952. The Stabenow\'s made there home on the same street in Denver for almost 50 years.
During the course of his lifetime he wore many hats. He owned Dean\'s Produce, was a Constable, Undertaker and Service Station Owner as well as a Guard for Gates Rubber Company for many years. He and his father, Frank, owned and ran the Hill Oil Station in Blue HIll and he and his son owned and operated Platt Appliance in Denver.
He was an avid Nebraska fan, a terrific storyteller, and a true Patriot who flew his flag religiously. He loved the Big Band sounds of Glenn Miller and Tommy Dorsey and the early Country Music singers like Dolly Parton, Kenny Rodgers, and Conway Twitty.
He is survived by, and will be terribly missed by his children, Chuck and Tracy, Carole and John, grandchildren Charlotte and Josh, and Jim. Sandi, D\'Anne & Alexa K.

Services to be held Friday July 22, 10:00am at DeWitt & Tabler Chapel, in Thornton, followed by a lucheon and a graveside service at Ft. Logan National Cemetery at 1:15pm. Arrangements made by DeWitt & Tabler Funeral Home.
