Obituary for Lisa Nyla Harris

Mrs. Lisa Nyla Harris was born on January 7, 1980 in Omaha, Nebraska to Patricia Barnes and Robert Brown. Lisa graduated at North High School in Omaha May 29, 1998. She attended four years of college and majored in Business Medical Administration. Her church home was at Isrealite Church of God in Christ in Colorado Springs, Colorado from an infant to young adulthood. Then on to Unity Church of God in Chirst in Denver, Colorado as an adult. She moved to Denver in 2000 where she met and married Benjamin Johns in 2004. They were blessed with two children; Terence Johns and Nyla Johns. Lisa has many gifts from the Lord, which includes, being a great wife, mother, sister, auntie and friend. She liked to draw, so hair, play musical instruments and most of all she loved to sing. Her angelic voice has touched many lives. On Tuesday September 25, 2012 Mrs. Lisa Nyla Harris ceased from suffering. She leaves to cherish her precious memories; her mother; Patricia Barnes, her devotes husband; Benjamin Johns, two children; Terence Johns and Nyla Johns, two sisters; Andria Walters and Gloria (Martel) Threatt and three brothers; Anton Brown, Lenord Harris and Lenard Walters, Grandmother Gloria Brown, Nieces, nephews, one auntie, two uncles and a host of friends. Visitation to be held Thursday October 4, 2012, 4-7pm at Unity Church of God in Christ, 2428 Ogden Street Denver, CO 80205. Funeral Service to be held Friday October 5, 2012, 11:00am, also at Unity COGIC. The family has requested that attendants of the service on Friday please wear purple and white in honor of Lisa. Arrangements made by DeWitt & Tabler Funeral Home.
