Obituary for Margaret Allen
Margaret Allen is a third generation Coloradoan. She was born January 14, 1927 to Nellie and Harry “Doc” Elberson. Her father was rumored to have crafted Buffalo Bill’s false teeth. She attended local schools and worked as an elevator operator for local department stores. It was there she met her husband Bill and later married him at the age of 16. Margie and Bill raised a family 5 boys and 1 girl. Margie had bill loved to go fishing and square dancing. They loved animals in particularly, Bill chickens and Margie dogs. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years William “Bill” Allen, her son Gregory and daughter Jill. She is survived by her favorite niece Donna Bechard and her husband LeRoy and children Mike, Lynette and Lisa; her son Dale (Debbie), Gary and his son Mark; Glen (Phyllis) and children Sean, Whitney, Ashley and Brian; Jills’s children Douglas and Kimberly and 6 great - grandchildren. Memorial Services will be 3:00PM Monday April 27, 2015 at DeWitt and Tabler Funeral Home Chapel 12114 Grant Circle, Thornton, Colorado. Inurnment in Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado wil be at a later date. Margaret’s family wishes to thank the staff of Western Hills Care Center for their care over the past 3 1/2 years specifically to the nurses, aides and other staff who showed her the kindest regard.
