Obituary for Marian Predota
Marian Predota of Thornton, Colorado died on May 18th 2012 after a long fight with cancer. Born in Kielce, Poland February 19th, 1953 to Piotr and Maria Predota. Marian played soccer and team handball during his years in Poland and was an accomplished violin and guitar player. In 1985 Marian emigrated with his family to escape communism. His journey ended in Colorado on June 2nd, 1987 via a series of immigration camps. Marian became a naturalized citizen in 1997 and was very proud to be an American. After working several different jobs he found his true passion. He found a career which would allow him to see and visit 48 states of his beloved new country, truck driving. The last 5 years he greatly enjoyed working for G & D Trucking where he made many great friends and enjoyed numerous stories and laughs. Marian enjoyed watching sports, listening to unique music, and spending time with family. Marian is survived by his wife, Margaret, his son Damian with wife Emilie and their son Jack, son Michal with wife Diana, and son Eddie; his brother Edward with wife Dana, and brother Leszek and his two children Iza and Piotrek and his daughter Karina; Also leaving extended family in Poland; Best friend and his family in Canada. Marian and his family would like to give special thanks to Gerald Chesnut of G & D Trucking. The funeral services will be held at 6:00pm May 25th, 2012 at DeWitt and Tabler funeral home 12114 Grant Circle, Thornton CO, 80241. Reception to follow at 13616 Garfield St #G, Thornton CO, 80602.
