Obituary for Mark Norman Stevens
Mark N. Stevens passed away on November 29, 2012 in Westminster, Colorado. Mark was born on August 5, 1958 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Norma Stevens and the late Bruce Stevens. Mark is survived by his “significant only” Neva Kline Spencer of Westminster, his children: Morgan and Madison Stevens and Neva’s children: Alexandra, India and Hayley and Neva’s grandchildren: Gil and Gavin. Mark is also survived by his mother Norma and 3 siblings: Sue, Doug and Brad in addition to 1 niece Taylore. Mark is survived and loved by many friends throughout Colorado, Utah and West Virginia. Mark cherished the time he spent with family and friends and the special times he had “hanging out” with his grandson Gil. He was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed trips to spring training and California to watch the Los Angeles Dodgers. He enjoyed running, biking and swimming and in his lifetime completed 11 marathons, 44 half-marathons and 19 triathlons including an Iron Man Triathlon. Mark’s proudest sports accomplishments were completing the Pike’s Peak Ascent 4 times and his many marathons. He often said he was proud to proclaim “he never owned a lawn mower”. Mark’s sense of humor was one of his most memorable qualities. Mark’s service will be held on December 16th, 2012 at 5:00pm at Good News Community Church 5511 West 136th Ave. Broomfield, Colorado.
