Mary Agnes Meads, age 79, died at Saint Anthonys North in Westminster, Colorado, on July 27, 2011 at 6:45 am with her family and friends by her side.
Born August 29, 1931, in Walsenburg, Colorado, to Moses and Josephine (Pacheco) Martinez. Mary grew up in Redwing, Colorado and attended school in Florence. Mary loved crocheting, watching classic movies, collecting thimbles, pulling weeds, road trips and Chuck Norris.
She is survived by her two sons, Fredrick Fred Carley of Rogers, Texas and Alden Jesse Meads of Zabcikville, Texas; three daughters, Loyola Lolly Carmenoros of Ignacio, Colorado, Martha Ann Marty Gober of Belton, Texas, and Consuelo Concha Rodriguez of Denver, Colorado; seventeen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Moses and Josephine Martinez; her brothers, Joseph and Sye Martinez; her sister, Fedelina Baca; her son, Francis Carley; her daughter, Josephine Josie Meyer and grandson Mateo Mangas Carmenoros.
Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Sunday, July 31, 2011, at 11 am at Dewitt & Tabler Funeral Home, 12114 Grant Circle, Thornton Colorado, 80241. Reception in memory of Mary Meads will be held at 1 pm at Westminster Commons, 3190 West 76th Ave., Building B, Westminster Colorado, 80030.
