Obituary for Mason Staub III
Mason D. Staub III went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 31 after a long illness.  Mason was born to Mason D. Staub Jr. and Mary Plesic Staub on March 27, 1949 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

The Lord saved Mason at the age of 18.  Over the years he was active in churches both in Carlisle Pennsylvania and Boulder Colorado. Most recently Mason was an elder at the Reformed Baptist Church of Northern Colorado and loved to teach and preach the gospel of Jesus' death, burial and resurrection.  His desire was to honor the Lord in all he did and to lead his family to this end.

Mason graduated from Cumberland Valley High School in 1967 and excelled in football, wrestling and track and field.  Mason also attended and wrestled at Leigh High University.  He retired in 2015 after a 39 year career in Public Works in local government.  Mason’s many interests included hunting, woodworking, and construction.

Mason is survived by his wife of 35 years, Deborah Blackburn Wenger Staub, daughters, Rachel Staub, Ruth Billings, Rebekah Green (Tom), Mary Simpson (Shawn) and Angie Nehrbass (Tim); 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.  Also sisters, Beverly Heimer (Keith), Linda Arvey (Al),  Nancy Herman, Mary Perry, Kathy Lauer (Joe), Betty Harlacher (Scott) and many nieces and nephews.  Mason was preceded in death by his son, Jason Wenger.

Services will be on Friday, June 7 at 11:00 am at Crossroads Church, 10451 Huron Street, Northglenn, CO 80234.  The family will greet friends beginning at 10:00 am.  A reception will follow the service from noon to 2:00 pm.  Graveside services will be at the Fairview Cemetery, Brighton, CO at 2:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider making a donation to the missions fund of the Reformed Baptist Church of Northern Colorado, 10051 Briarwood Street, Firestone, CO 80504.
