Obituary for Michael McDonnell
Michael McDonnell, 36, was born on August 5th, 1978 in Denver and proudly resided in Colorado his entire life. Michael was an artist. His work consisted of fantasy, action, satire, and comic book style art. He communicated through art and he loved to share his art with others. Mike was a charismatic, people-person that loved to make others laugh. He had a quick wit and irreverent outlook. His brand of humor was often surprising and refreshing. Mike enjoyed the great outdoors, especially hiking and golfing. He loved thunderstorms and enjoyed to sit and relax while listening to the thunder and rain. He was an avid golfer who would have played 18 holes every day if he could have. Mike is survived by his mother, Bonnie Rankin and stepfather, Kirby Rankin, beloved sister, Rebecca Mcdonnell and her husband, Brad Powell, his niece, Percie Powell, and his stepbrother, Jason Rankin. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 6th at 3:00 p.m. at Dewitt and Tabler Funeral Home, located at 12114 Grant Circle, Thornton, CO, 80241. A gathering will take place immediately following the memorial service at 10459 Vauhn Way, Commerce City, Co, 80022.
