Obituary for Neal Henry Buford
Neal Henry Buford, 80, of Denver and La Junta, CO, passed away on Wednesday, August 21st in Denver, CO. Neal was born on August 25, 1932, in Chanute, KS. Neal was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Wesley Buford, and his mother, Beula May Colbert and is survived by his wife of 38 years, Chris Buford, daughter Kristy (Arturo) Oropeza, daughter Karen(Dennis) Buford, step-son Michael Buford, and sister Joan Hill. Buford was a Korean War Veteran. He enjoyed cooking for his family, gardening, and loved all sports. His infectious smile and laugh will be sorely missed by all that knew him. A rosary and Mass will be held Friday, August 30th at St Catherine of Siena located at 4200 Federal Blvd, Denver, CO, rosary at 11am, Mass at 11:30am. Neal will be buried at Fort Logan National Cemetery at 1:30pm with a reception to follow 2 miles away from the cemetery at VFW Post 5061 located at 5220 W Warren Ave, Denver, CO (1 block S of Evans St off Sheridan Blvd).
