Obituary for Paul Crauwels
Paul Theodore Crauwels was born on May 5, 1962. He passed away on March 8, 2022, at 59 years old after an 11 month battle with stomach cancer. Paul grew up in Des Moines and West Des Moines Iowa, graduating from Valley High School in 1980. While still in high school, he started his 41 + year career with “The Phone Company” then known as Northwestern Bell, and now known as LUMEN Technologies. Paul was married in 1988 to Lisa Stieger in Davenport, Iowa. The couple moved to Omaha, Nebraska, and Paul’s first son Paul Jacob was born there in 1993. The family then moved to Thornton, Colorado in 1995 and in 1999, his second son, Christopher Michael, was born. Paul was extremely proud of his sons having both of them graduate from Colorado State University. Paul was a sports fan and he especially loved soccer and football. He played soccer in his youth and coached several youth soccer teams as an adult. Paul cherished his Dutch heritage, with his parents having emigrated from The Netherlands, and he was also a proud American. Paul is survived by his wife, Lisa Crauwels; sons Christopher Michael Crauwels and Paul Jacob Crauwels, with fiancé, Lisa Clune; grandson, Jude Andrew Crauwels; mother, Evi Crauwels (Kersten); father, Nick Crauwels; sister, Nicole Crauwels with husband, Thomas Shanklin; and by many aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and friends. Services will be held on April 5th 2022, 2pm at Highline Circle of Life at 12114 Grant Circle in Thornton CO 80241.
