Obituary for Paul Robert Buckner
After a hard fought battle with cancer, Paul Robert Buckner died on February 1, 2015 at the age of 56. He leaves behind his wife Tammy Buckner and their son Eric Buckner. Paul was born on May 15, 1958 to father Vernie Buckner and mother Gilda Buckner, who predeceased him. He grew up in Carlsbad, California with a passion for surfing and skateboarding. Paul married Tammy on July 6, 1991who he first met in Illinois. Shortly after, they relocated to Westminster, Colorado, where Paul worked for Zoll as a Senior Systems Administrator. There the couple lived and raised their son. Paul was a driven professional with a great love of the outdoors. Paul’s family’s most cherished memories are the times spent four-wheeling and camping. He always loved a good road trip with wonderful family vacations across the mountains and deserts. His most recent adventure of mountain biking at the age of 56 resulted in some spectacular wipe outs! Paul requested to be cremated. His ashes will be scattered in Moab, Utah and Carlsbad, California in the coming months. A memorial will be held 2:00PM Saturday, February 21, 2015 at DeWitt and Tabler Funeral Home Chapel, 12114 Grant Circle, Thornton, Colorado 80241. Charitable donations may be made to Stay the Trail in honor of his love of the outdoors. Paul is in a better place now surfing the endless waves and rock crawling the endless trails.
