Obituary for Peter Leroy Soriano
Peter Leroy 'Sonny' Soriano passed away Friday following a long illness, at his residence surrounded by his loving family at the age of 73. He is of Westminster, CO. Peter was born on June 22, 1941 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Pedro and Martha Soriano. Husband of 54 years to Lorraine and father to four, Michelle Milinazzo, Keith Soriano, Jennifer Kirlin and CJ Soriano. Grandfather to ten, Colton, Alexander and Sorianna Milinazzo; Lorren and Brandon Soriano; Isabella and Greyson Kirlin; Nick and Joslynn Pulido and Jacob Soriano. Brother to Loretta Lucero and Paul Soriano. Peter worked for the Railroad Post Office in the mid 1960s before moving to Denver in the early 1970s and continuing his career with the United States Post Office until he retired in 2001. Peter dearly loved his family and there wasn’t anything he would not do for them. He enjoyed riding his Harley, drinking Budweiser and eating roasted peanuts. Peter loved the mountains and being outdoors. In his early 50s he learned how to snowboard, let’s just say he never wanted to do it again! If you knew him, you know he always could make you laugh. Our father and husband to our mom, will be forever missed. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM) in Peter’s name, would be appreciated. Visitation will begin 6PM Thursday January 22, 2015 at DeWitt & Tabler Funeral Home, 12114 Grant Circle, Thornton, Colorado 80241, Rosary will be recited 7PM. Funeral Mass will be 10:30AM Friday, January 23, 2015, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 11385 Grant Drive, Northglenn, Colorado 80233.
