Regina Salazar De La Cruz, 66 years of age, beloved mother and cherished grandmother, passed October 6, 2011. She is survived by her mother, Belm De La Cruz De Salazar, 5 children; Gerardo Luna, Gregorio Luna, Zoila Dorado, Jos Luna, Carlos Alberto Luna and 7 siblings; Manuela Salazar De La Cruz, Guadalupe Luna, Amalia Salazar De La Cruz, Rosa Salazar De La Cruz, Delia Frescas, Jose Salazar De La Cruz, Gerardo Salazar De La Cruz. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.Regina was born in Durango, Mexico on September 7, 1945 and came to Colorado in 1980 with her daughter Zoila and her sons Jose and Carlos proceeding her sons Gerardo and Gregorio. She came to Colorado to seek a higher quality of life for her and her children. A devoted mother, she worked very hard to provide and offer opportunities for her children that she herself never had. Regina was a benevolent soul with a very positive outlook on life. She was known for her warm personality, contagious smile, and welcoming spirit. Regina was the first to come to ones aid or celebration. In this life, she loved family gatherings at her quaint home and often cooked for everyone who walked through her front door. Regina will be remembered and celebrated during the following times and at the following places:1. Memorial and Rosary Service to be held at De Witt and Tabler Funeral Home (12114 Grant Circle, Thornton, Colorado 80241) Sunday, October 9, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.2. Mass to be held at Our Lady Mother of the Church (6690 East 72nd Avenue, Commerce City, CO 80022) Monday, October, 10 2011 at 9:30 a.m., burial to follow at Olinger Highland Cemetery (10201 North Grant Street, Thornton, CO 80229).Spanish version:Regina Salazar De La Cruz, 66 aos de edad, querida madre y abuela, pas 06 de octubre 2011. Le sobreviven su madre, Belm De La Cruz De Salazar, 5 hijos; Gerardo Luna, Gregorio Luna, Zoila Dorado, Jos Luna, Carlos Alberto Luna y 7 hermanos; Manuela Salazar De La Cruz, Guadalupe Luna, Amalia Salazar De La Cruz , Rosa Salazar De La Cruz, Delia Frescas, Jos Salazar De La Cruz, Gerardo Salazar De La Cruz. Tambin le sobreviven 13 nietos y 9 bisnietos. Regina naci en Durango, Mxico el 7 de septiembre de 1945 y lleg a Colorado en 1980 con su hija Zoila y sus hijos Jos y Carlos despus de sus hijos Gerardo y Gregorio. Ella vino a Colorado para buscar una mejor calidad de vida para ella y sus hijos. Una madre devota, ella trabaj muy duro para ofrecer oportunidades para sus hijos que no se les ofreci a ella. Regina era un alma benevolente con una visin muy positiva de la vida. Ella era conocida por su clida personalidad, sonrisa contagiosa, y su espritu de amor. Regina fue la primera en ofrecer ayuda o asistir a una celebracin especial. En esta vida, amaba las reuniones familiares en su casa y cocinaba para todo aquel que camin a travs de su puerta. Regina ser recordada y celebrada en los siguientes horarios y en los siguientes lugares: 1.
