Obituary for Richard Lindy Law
Richard Lindy Law passed away on Monday September 29th, 2014 from complications of COPD with his wife of 60 years by his side. He was 79 years old. Richard was born on November 6th, 1934 to Frank and Edna Law at the family farm just south of Hill City, KS. He graduated from Hill City High School in 1952 and attended Brown Mackie College in Salina after graduation. Richard met Margaret Alice Brenton in High School and they married in 1954. They resided there for many years after marriage, were members of the Methodist church in Hill City and all of their children were born there. They moved to Longmont, Colorado in 1968 where he worked as a master electrician until he retired. He enjoyed working with the volunteer fire department in Colorado. He is preceded in death by parents Frank and Edna Law, six brothers – Earl Law, Frank Law, Don Law, John Law, Larry Law and Randall Law, two sons Kyle Law and Steven Law and one grandson Stephen Calvin. He is survived by his loving wife Margaret Law, a daughter Rita Calvin, five grandchildren – Kayla Law, Derrick Law, Angela House, Nathanial Calvin and Bailey Calvin, two brothers - Marcus Law and Ted Law and many nephews and nieces. Richard will be cremated and a graveside service will be planned for sometime this spring to take place in Hill City, KS.
