Obituary for Robert Joseph Younger
Robert Joseph Younger was born on June 10th, 1931 in Brighton, Colorado to Elizabeth Emma (Bollig) and Richard John Younger. He passed away on January 14th, 2022 in Lakewood, Colorado at the age of 90.
Robert was one of 10 children and lived in Colorado his entire life. He graduated from 8th grade and helped his family with the various tasks of life. Robert joined the United States Air Force and worked as an airplane mechanic. When he was honorably discharged, he had gained the rank of Staff Sargent. Robert held several jobs throughout his life, from working as a diesel technician, to working with Continental Airline and White Motor Company, to being a farmer, which he took the most pride in. He also worked as an independent truck driver until retiring. Robert enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all spending time with his family and his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed and remembered lovingly.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Elizabeth; his sisters, Dorothy White, Rosalie Younger, and Joann Dreiling; his brothers, John Younger and Delbert J. Younger; by his first wife, Mary Jane (Suppes) Younger; and by his daugther, Marieta Younger. He is survived by his children, David (Dianna) Younger of Frankfort, KS; Ann (Gary) Schovan of Westminster, CO; Nancy Murphy of Commerce City, CO; Robert (Julie) Younger of Keenesburg, CO; and Karen Stone of Westminster, CO; by his brothers, Ted Younger and James Younger; by his sisters, Delores Roth and Arlene Paiva; by eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and by numerous nieces and nephews.

Robert will be laid to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery on Tuesday, February 1st at 1:15pm. If you will be attending, please arrive and wait at Staging Area C by 1:00pm. We will process to the shelter promptly at 1:15m. Military Honors will be rendered at this time.
