Obituary for Robert William Perez
Bob Perez, 63, of Thornton, Colorado, unexpectedly passed away on December 17th 2014 peacefully in his sleep. He was born on February 25, 1951 in Fargo, ND to Thomas and Phyllis Perez. He lived the majority of his life in the Fargo area. He married Connie (Steichen) Perez on May 16th 1997. They moved to Thornton, CO in 1998. Bob worked his entire professional career in the banking industry. He was actively involved in many service organizations in Fargo and loved his community. Bob was an avid Bison fan and was an active NDSU Team Maker for several years. Bob was a man who enjoyed sporting events of all kinds, but had a special love for football. His Shanley football team won several State Championships throughout his high school career. Bob, known as Pete, and his team mates from 1966 and 1968 were selected to the Shanley Deacon Hall of Fame. In his spare time he enjoyed boating on Pickerel Lake, attending games for all his loved ones, tinkering in his garage, and working in his yard. Playing with his grandchildren brought him great joy and always put a smile on his face. Bob is survived by his wife and best friend, Connie. He was extremely proud of his children Rochelle McDonald, her children Abigail and Audrey, of Fargo, ND; Jena Terry and her husband Corey, their children Roman, Reagan and expected daughter, of Arvada, CO; Amy McLean and her husband, Cameron, their children Kyle and Kellan, of Castle Rock, CO; Robin Brookhart and her husband, Adam, their son Lucas and expected baby, of Thornton, CO; and Adam McDonald of Minneapolis, MN. He is also survived by two brothers, Tom and his wife, Sharon, of Moorhead, MN; and Rick and his wife, Trish, of Thornton, CO; his sister, Shar Wolf and her husband, Jim, of Thornton, CO; his aunt, Sharon Streyle of Kent, WA; as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his infant brother, Jeffrey, and his grandson, Brady Brookhart. The family will celebrate Bob’s life with a funeral and reception on Tuesday, December 23rd at 11am. Services will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 9371 Wigham Street, Thornton, CO 80229. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Bob Perez in care of Holy Cross Catholic Church, 9371 Wigham Street, Thornton, CO 80229.
