Obituary for Roger D. Grieser
Roger D. Grieser of Arvada, Colorado passed away on November 6, 2011 at Lutheran Medical Center. He was 81 years old. Roger was born on December 1, 1929 in Sibley, Iowa to Edward and Ethel Grieser. When Roger was 5 his family moved to Scottsbluff, NE. He eventually met and married Irene M. Goodman on June 16, 1950. In 1953 Roger and Irene moved to Denver, where Roger worked as a salesman at ITT Grinnell for 16 years. He then owned his own business selling and recharging fire extinguishers. He then operated a manufacturing rep business until he retired in 1986. Roger and Irene had three children, Darrell, Terry and Denise, three grandchildren; Adam D. Grieser, April Beal, and Joel Beal, one great grandson; Tyler D. Grieser and one great granddaughter; Willow R. Grieser.
A memorial services will be held on Tuesday November 15, 2011, 11:30am at the Lutheran Hospital Chapel, 8300 West 38th Avenue. The chapel asks that all who attend the service to please park in the East parking lot and enter through the main hospital entrance. There will be no flowers accepted at the chapel so the family is asking in lieu of flowers to please make a donation to CMTA (Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association) at CMTA, P.O. Box 105, Glenolden, PA 19036. More information on how and where to send your donation will be given out during the service. The family would like to invite everyone to join them for a reception following the service at the Arvada Elks Lodge #2278, at 1:00pm, 5700 Yukon Street Arvada, CO.
