Obituary for Sandra Lee Johannesen
Thornton resident Sandra Lee Johannesen passed away on December 28, 2017, after a six year long battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was 61 years old. Â
Sandra was born in Denver on May 11, 1956 to Clarence and Shirley (Keister) Sanger. She graduated from North High School in 1974.
Sandi and Mike met in 1992, started dating in 1995, and were married in 2004.
Sandi loved to travel throughout Colorado’s Western Slope and to New Mexico. Once a year, she and Mike would travel to Palisade for the peaches. She was an avid reader and loved to collect Elephants. She was loved and respected by her family.
Sandi was preceded in death by father, and beloved cats LB and AJ.
She is survived by husband Michael Johannesen, mother Shirley Sanger, brother John (Joan) Sanger, sister Patricia (Hal) Stuart, and many nieces and nephews.
