Obituary for Sarah Iris Anderson
Sarah Iris Anderson, of Thornton passed away on September 1, 2010. She was 75 years old. She was born on June 8, 1935 in North Park, Colorado, 15 miles West of Walden, Colorado, to Robert & Florence Irvine.
Iris was loved by all who knew her. She loved passionately, spoke softly, praised others abundantly and stood her ground on matters of the heart. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother and faithful friend.
Her favorite place was North Park where she grew up on a ranch with her brothers, John and Gordon. She sacrificed much to keep a little piece of this heaven in her family.
Of the last year and a half her favorite past-time was the time she spent with her kitties, Sissy and Mischief.
Her son, Michael McLachlan preceded her in death. Survived by her husband Gene, son Robert McLachlan, daughter Deborah McLachlan, grandsons Michael "Eli" Drakulich, Patrick Drakulich, Michael McLachlan, Jeremy McLachlan, Christopher McLachlan, granddaughters Jennifer Jenkins and Heather McLachlan.
A celebration of Iris's life will be held at DeWitt and Tabler Funeral Home Chapel in Thornton, Colorado on September 11, 2010 at 11:30am.
