Obituary for Mary Cecilia Griffin
Mary C. Griffin, 86 of Westminster and 3rdo generation Native of Colorado, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 24, 2016. She was the loving wife of Claude C. Griffin (Griff) who preceded her in eternal rest on January 14, 2000.
Mary had many roles in her lifetime which included being a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She also “adopted” many children along the way. She co-owned and operated Griff’s Enco/Exxon service station, worked at JC Pennys in the children’s department for more than 25 years, was active In her Church as an usher, Eucharist minister and helped with fund raisers for the youth group to send them to World Youth Day events. She had a sense of humor that not many people had and some that couldn’t appreciate. But those that knew her loved her dearly and she loved them.
She is survived by 6 children. Claudia Campbell, wife of Charlle and they have 2 children, 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Next is Gloria DeWoody, wife of Randy and they have 2 children , 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and another on the way. Then, Claude Charles (Chuck) Griffin husband of Merri and they have 2 children and 4 grandchildren. Next is Shirley Griffin wife of Mike and they have 2 children, 4 grand children and another on the way. Followed by Ron Griffin husband of Annette and they have 4 children combined, 5 grandchildren combined. Finally, Kelly Harris, fiance of James Crump and she has 2 children and 5 grandchildren.
