Obituary for Macy Yvette McFarland Anderson
Macy Yvette McFarland was born on March 2, 1965 in Dallas, Texas. Upon her passing on January 22, 2020 in Denver, CO she left a hole in the hearts of many. Macy was born to parents Lacy and Viola, and although she loved her mother, she was definitely a daddy’s girl. She was the youngest of three siblings, Joseph and Diane, with whom she has now been reunited in Heaven.
Macy moved to Colorado in 2005 where she climbed her way up the corporate ladder in the lifesciences arena. Macy served as the HR Manager at ThermoFisher Scientific. At her peak, she was the trusted HR Business Partner for the Cardiac Rhythm Management business unit of Sorin Group, a global medical device company. In her free time, she enjoyed escaping in a good read, laughing and playing tricks on her children, watching scary movies, and discovering new parts of Colorado. One of Macy’s favorite places was Estes Park, CO.
Macy is survived by her son, Brandon Huckaby; her daughter Jasmine Huckaby; her daughter, Brittany Faasen; her son, Nicholas Rodgers; and her son-in-law, Clayton Faasen. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister.
The family chose to scatter her ashes in her favorite area of Estes Park. There will be a Celebration of Life service held at 2 pm on Saturday, March 28 at the Crawford residence, 1127 Preserve Circle, Golden, CO 80401. Please feel welcome to send any cards for the family to this address as well.
Macy embraced and enjoyed life with lots of laughter and put smiles on the faces of many. She will be dearly missed!
