Obituary for Connie Lynn Stone
Connie Lynn Stone, Age 54, of Thornton fought lung disease for 5 years before she was given the gift of a lung transplant in November 2010. After her lung transplant Connie continued to prove that she was a fighter and fought to survive until May 19, 2011, when her body finally succumbed to rejection. Connie was an amazing and loving wife, mom, grandma, and sister, she will be missed forever. Connie is survived by her husband, Raymond Neal Stone; daughter Marla (Cesar) Reyes; son, Andy Brown; grandchildren, Drew, Kaide, Blake, Taira, Gabriel, Manuel, Marrissa; sisters Cindy (John) Hill, Carla Norton, and brothers, Curtis Cainan and Kelly Cainan.
Despite Connies limited physical activity she continued to have a zest for life that many without limitations would envy. Connie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. Her passion was her grandchildren. She was willing to do anything to put a smile on their faces and kept them while her daughter worked right up until she went into the hospital. Her grandchildren have lost more than a grandma. They lost a friend and a second mother.
Connie has left an indelible mark on everyone she has touched and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
Services to be held Monday May 23, 2011, 11:00am at DeWitt & Tabler Chapel in Thornton. The family would like to invite everyone to a reception following the service at the Northglenn Moose Lodge #2166 at 11449 York Street.
