Obituary for Chester E. Gordon
Chester Eugene Gordon died on March 15, 2013 at the age of 80, surrounded by family in his North Denver home. He is survived by his wife, Darlene, children Collene Murphy (David), Kate Gordon, Chester Mark Gordon (Cindy), and Edward Gordon, and grandchildren Rachel, Ryan, Amanda, and Sara. He is also survived by his brother Jesse Dale Gordon, and sister Grace Maddock and leaves behind his devoted dogs, Jack and Jill. Chester joined the Denver Police Department in 1956 and retired at the rank of Lieutenant in 1986. He was our rock, our hero, our love, and we will miss him beyond measure. Services will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church (4380 Utica St., Denver) on Friday, March 22, 2013, beginning with a rosary at 9:30 a.m., mass at 10:00 a.m., immediately followed by graveside services at Mt. Olivet Cemetery (12801 W. 44th Ave., Wheat Ridge).
