Obituary for Tre Joshua Lucas
Tre Joshua Lucas, “Trizzle”, 16, of Thornton, CO., passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2014. Tre touched many throughout his short, yet memorable life. The quality of his existence exceeded the quantity of time in which he lived. His sense of humor, sensitive nature and beautiful smile brought joy and laughter to his family and friends. Tre is survived by his mother and step-father, Stacey and Eddy Falanga, sister Analysse Falanga, father Byron Lucas and friend Lynn Dibble, her son David Dibble, and grandmother Ruth Lucas. He is also survived by his girlfriend Angelina Kirirlchuk of Thornton, CO, as well as many friends, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his brothers Darian Lucas and Brian Gatewood, his grandparents Robert and Peggy Smith and his grandfather Henry Lucas. Tre enjoyed sports, especially football, where he would play quarterback, tight end or wide receiver. He played throughout his young life through the Thornton Junior Football League and the Brighton Youth Association Football League. His team, the Brighton Bulldogs, went all of the way to the championship game in 2011 where they played at the Adams 12 North Stadium and they won. Tre also enjoyed spending time with his mother and sister as they enjoyed family vacations to San Francisco, San Antonio and Las Vegas, and trips to places such as the movies, Elitches, Water World, and Olive Garden. On a recent visit to Water world, Stacey begged him to go on the Mile Hi Flyer with her, but after experiencing trudging up the hill with the intertube as his mother struggled to carry it along the way, he probably thought he had had enough. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends out by the pond, playing video games and just hanging out. He attended middle school at Shadow Ridge and high school at Prairie View and Mountain Range. He was pursuing continuing his education through Pathways. Tre was a thoughtful and caring young man who had aspirations of pursuing a career in Information Technology or engineering. His family and friends will remember his witty nature, kind heart and ability to encourage others. Visitation will be Friday August 15, 2014 from 10am until 2pm at DeWitt and Tabler Funeral Home, 12114 Grant Circle, Thornton, Colorado 80241. Memorial Services will be held 11am Saturday August 16, 2014 at DeWitt and Tabler Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to cover funeral expenses or the establishment of a college fund for his sister Analysse Falanga.
