Obituary for Somporn Rojanavongse
Somporn Rojanavongse was a wife, a sister, a mother, and a grandmother. Born to Saguad and Saguan in 1925 in a small providence of Nakornpathom,Thailand. she was the oldest child amongst her 8 other siblings.
Somporn was no stranger to hard work, and at the age of 12 she began working as a housekeeper to support her other siblings. She believed in the power of an education, and having the best that life had to offer, which is why she made sure that every one of her brothers and sisters finished their schooling.
She was married to her husband for almost 40 years in Thailand and they, along with her daughter, Luck and her grand-daughter Joy moved to the United States of America, where she retired. Even then, she never stop taking care of her family. She made sure her daughter and granddaughter had everything they need. She did everything in her power to pushed her children for success.
"Knowledge is never dead. It cannot be taken from you. The more you know, the more power you have.", as Somporn would always say.
She passed at the age of 90 on September 24,2015.
Celebrating her life today are her daughter, her grand-daughter, her siblings, her nieces and nephews, and many others.
Visitation will be from 8:00 AM Tuesday, September 29, 2015 until 11:00 AM at DeWitt & Tabler Funeral Home, 12114 Grant Circle, Thornton, Colorado 80241. Graveside services will follow at 1:00 PM at Mt Olivet Cemetery Wheat Ridge Colorado.
