Obituary for Timothy Jay Friedrich
On November 26, 2019, Timothy Jay Friedrich of Thornton, Colorado lost his battle with cancer. Tim was diagnosed with Glioblastoma in October of 2018 and put up quite a fight to the very end. The world has lost a fighter in so many ways.Â
Tim was born on October 29, 1953 in Iowa to Fred and Rozella Friedrich. After several moves across Iowa, Wisconsin, and Minnesota, Tim ended up in Colorado. He has called Colorado home for the majority of his life and has truly embraced the Colorado lifestyle. Skiing - including snow and water, hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, golfing; he did it all. Tim met Terri, his wife of over 40 years in Colorado and together, they built an amazing life. They had one daughter, Renee.Â
Tim was a truck driver for many years and also found time to volunteer with the National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD). After 15 years of volunteering Tim earned a lifetime season pass at Winter Park Ski Resort.Â
Tim is Husband to Terri; father of Renee; brother to Phil, Anita and Kathy; son of Rozella; Papa to Cruz and friend to so many- the world as we know it is a bit different now.Â
